Tarmac Driveway & Tarmacadam Contractors North Wales
EBP Driveways & Doors provides professional tarmac driveway and tarmacadam surfacing across North Wales for homes, businesses, access areas and larger properties.
With more than 40 years of experience, we undertake the groundwork and preparation as well as the finished surface, providing a complete service from excavation and drainage through to laying and compaction.
Experienced Tarmac Surfacing Contractors
Tarmac is a practical surface for driveways, property entrances, access areas and larger parking spaces, but the quality of the finished surface depends heavily on the preparation underneath it.
EBP handles both stages. Our team can excavate and prepare the area, install the required sub-base and drainage, establish the finished levels and then complete the surfacing.
We undertake residential and larger surfacing projects throughout Gwynedd and surrounding parts of North Wales.

From replacing an existing driveway to preparing a larger area for tarmacadam, EBP can manage the associated groundwork and finished surface.

The Finished Tarmac Is Only Part of the Job
A new driveway should not simply be treated as a layer of tarmac laid over whatever happens to be underneath.
The existing surface, levels, drainage and intended use need to be considered before the finished surfacing is installed.
Because EBP also undertakes groundworks , preparation and surfacing can be handled as one complete project.
- Existing surface assessed
- Excavation where required
- Suitable sub-base preparation
- Finished levels established
- Drainage considered before surfacing
- Tarmac laid and compacted
How We Install a Tarmac Driveway
Every project is assessed individually, but a properly planned installation considers the existing ground, drainage and final surfacing together.
Survey & Planning
We assess the existing driveway, vehicle access, ground conditions, levels and intended use before work begins.
Excavation & Preparation
Existing material is removed where necessary, followed by suitable sub-base preparation, drainage and level setting.
Tarmac Laying & Compaction
The selected tarmacadam material is laid over the prepared area, compacted and finished around edges and surrounding features.
Domestic & Larger Tarmac Surfacing Projects
Residential Driveways
We install tarmac driveways for homes throughout North Wales, from relatively compact driveway areas to much larger entrances and parking areas.
Tarmac can also be combined with kerbs, drainage, stone walling and other exterior property work.
Commercial & Larger Areas
EBP also undertakes suitable larger surfacing work including forecourts, property access areas, shared driveways and commercial surfaces.
Requirements vary depending on the site and intended traffic, so larger projects are assessed individually.
Tarmac Repairs & Resurfacing
Not every worn tarmac surface necessarily requires complete removal. Depending on the construction and condition of the existing driveway, repair or resurfacing may sometimes be appropriate.
We can assess the surface and advise whether the area is suitable for repair, resurfacing or whether more substantial ground preparation is necessary.
Where there are problems with settlement, drainage or the underlying base, those issues may need to be addressed before a new finished surface is laid.
More Than Tarmac Surfacing
Many driveway projects involve more than the finished black surface. EBP also provides associated groundwork and exterior property improvements.
